A fun assignment on graphic design as part of my first year of recruitment at SDSLabs, the brief was about creating a poster for an actual or a fictional music festival, I made this for a fictional music festival called ‘Summer Sonic’ comprising of my favourite artists.

The name for the festival is ‘Summer Sonic’ in order to capture the essence of summer, I used really bright colors.
For the graphics I used three vinyls, the top vinyl having a warm palette to balance out the cooler blues of the bottom vinyl while maintaining a rhythm.
To tie the entire poster together, I have used small elements of white here and there, including the typography.

The main concept is how music connects people, in the bottom most vinyl i have traced out two pairs of shoes, one being really funky along with a wave and the other being very elegant along with a piano, I have captured how you meet different types of people in a fest and how you build new relationships.
